Psalms 148

Verse 4

“Highest heavens, and the water above the highest heavens, come and offer praise.”
What is at the end of the universe? Genesis 1:6

Since the Psalmist addresses the waters above heaven, this means that it was not completely poured out when the portals opened in Genesis 7:12.

Psalms 139

Verse 4
“Before I even speak a word, you know what I will say”
We pray to let ourselves know what we want from God, and to develop our understanding of this connection.  God already knows everything, you pray to become aware of that.

Verse 7-10

“Where could I go to escape from your Spirit or from your sight?

If I were to climb up to the highest heavens, you would be there.  If I were to dig down to the world of the dead you would also be there.

Suppose I had wings like the dawning day and flew across the ocean.

Even then your powerful arm would guide and protect me.”

God is everywhere, even in death He rules.  He is the God of death, and none can escape from Him through death.  You cannot escape Life through suicide.  If you submit to God, also, there is no way you will be able to stray from His presence; He is that dependable.

Psalms 121

Verse 6

“You won’t be harmed by the sun during the day or by the moon at night.”

Sunburns and lunatics. Some mental illnesses were thought to be caused by the moon.  I wonder if anyone thought to study the harmful effects of moon rays.

Aristotle believed that the brain was mostly composed of water and so that the moon had an effect on it just like it did with the water in the ocean.

One confirmed way in which moon rays are indeed harmful is by affecting ones sleep pattern by providing light during the night.  Which may cause mood swings, and other things that result from sleep deprivation.

Psalms 119

Verse 72
“I would rather obey you than to have a thousand pieces of silver and gold.”: because obedience is that much more valuable, and brings that much more joy.

Psalms 112

Verse 7

“Bad news won’t bother them; they have decided to trust the Lord.”

Following God does not mean that you will not have problems; following God means that you will not mind your problems anymore… For one or many out of all the reasons that God has given you to be happy.
